Three sites in Negotinska Krajina
Vinarija Matalj in Negotinska Krajina builds on a winemaking tradition passed down through generations. The Mladenović-Matalj family farms 27 hectares across three sites: the terraced vineyard in the village of Mihajlovac, the Kremenjača site in the village of Tamnič in the Rajac winegrowing area, and the Bukovo vineyard above the monastery of the same name. Each site forms its own distinct unit with a specific climate and soil.
The estate began with international varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Gamay; today, indigenous varieties such as Crna Tamjanika, Prokupac, Začinak, Kadarka and Bagrina are moving to the fore. Nine premium labels define the range, including Kremen Kamen, Zemna, Bukovski Cuvée, Crna Tamjanika, Terasa Chardonnay and Dušica Rosé. Winegrower Vladimir Hadžić looks after the vineyards.
