Character & enjoyment

In the Glass

Deep cherry red with a violet shimmer, clear and of appealing density.

On the Nose

Intense, aromatic bouquet: rose petals and cherry compote dominate, accompanied by sweet strawberries and candied cranberries. The Muscat note, typical for Tamjanika, gives the aroma an oriental depth.

On the Palate

Sweet and fruity with a fresh acidic framework that balances the sweetness. The texture is velvety, the body full. Residual sugar of 77 g/l brings expressive sweetness without heaviness. The finish is fruity-balsamic and of medium length.

Food Pairing

Fruity desserts with berries, crème brûlée, cheese pastries, Roquefort or Gorgonzola as a contrast, dark chocolate with berries.

Vinarija Matalj in Negotin cultivates Crna Tamjanika on the Mihajlovac terraced vineyard. The winery, spanning 27 hectares in Negotinska Krajina, is one of Serbia's top addresses and was awarded "Serbia's Best Winery" in 2024.
