The Sparkling Winery in Mala Remeta on Fruška Gora is Serbia’s first winery devoted exclusively to sparkling wine. The project grew out of the Deurić winery’s circle – its owner is Mitar Deurić, Vinarija Deurić’s director is Mirko Niškanović, and its wine technologist is Milica Ćućuz. Nine years of preparation preceded the launch.
Ten hectares of vineyards are reserved for sparkling wine production, planted with Grašac, Chardonnay, the indigenous Morava variety and Pinot Noir; a further hectare of Tamjanika was added. The launch brought three traditional bottle-fermented sparkling wines from the 2023 vintage to market – The Blanc de Noirs from Pinot Noir, The Morava and The from Chardonnay – totalling around 30'000 bottles in the first year.
Mala Remeta is thus developing into the centre of Serbian sparkling wine production.

On the nose, aromas of ripe red berries unfold – wild strawberry, redcurrant, raspberry – complemented by fresh bread crust and subtle saline minerality, both resulting from 18 months of lees ageing.
