- In the glass
Deep ruby-garnet with a violet rim, dense viscosity, and vibrant gleam.
- On the nose
Intense and complex bouquet: blueberry and ripe plum dominate, accompanied by red pepper and a hint of lavender. Vanilla and dark chocolate integrate as subtle barrique notes, and freshly ground coffee completes the aroma profile with a spicy depth.
- On the palate
Exceptionally complex and full-bodied. The tannins are initially fine and silky, developing over time into a precise, more angular structure that supports the balance between lively acidity and high alcohol. The finish is very long and shows an evolution from ripe fruit to peppery spice, then vanilla and cocoa.
- Food pairing
Wild game stew with red wine, beef tenderloin with pepper sauce, mature hard cheeses like Pecorino or Manchego, dark dark chocolate desserts.

Bifora 2020 is a single-varietal Shiraz from Vinarija Janko, sourced from the Zlatno Brdo and Šeškovac (Ralja) vineyards in the Smederevsko Vinogorje region. For this wine, the winery focuses on targeted clone selection – out of 43 tested variants so far, 16 clones have been planted, underscoring the winery's future-oriented quality aspirations.

Origin
Vinarija Janko in Smederevo cultivates 14 hectares of its own vineyards. The Zlatno Brdo site, where some of the Bifora grapes grow, is considered one of Serbia's award-winning locations. With several Decanter awards, Janko is among the best-known Serbian wineries.
