Kovačević Aurelius S Edicija 2019 – a premium wine from Kovačević, Fruška Gora. Tasting Notes. Highly intense aroma, dominated by blackberry, blueberry, and blackcurrant, followed by characteristic oak aging notes of vanilla, cedar wood, and sweet spices. Complex, ethereal, and elegant on the palate with a fruity character, a subtle hint of ripe red pepper for added freshness, medium acidity, and a fuller body with an intense, finely granulated tannin structure. Very long, spicy finish. Aged for 12 months in 50% new / 50% used oak, plus 12 months in large barrels.

The Vinarija Kovačević in Irig is one of Serbia's most prestigious wineries. Since 2001, Miroslav Kovačević, the third generation, has continued the family tradition – with a clear vision, state-of-the-art cellar technology, and deep roots in Fruška Gora. The vines are located on the south-facing slopes of Fruška Gora (Srem, approx. 240 m altitude). In 2013, Kovačević took over the historic "Podrum 1930" – a cult cellar from the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, which today combines tradition and cutting-edge technology. Falstaff regularly rates Kovačević with 90+ points – the Edicija-S line is considered a benchmark for premium wines from Serbia.
